Meme: "DVD Commentary"

Okay, I ganked this one from clocketpatch . It sounds pretty fun, but I warn you: I can go on about my writing rather endlessly. At least the answers will materialize a lot quicker than the ones for the Fics I Wouldn't Write meme... ;-)

Pick a paragraph (or any passage less than 500 words) from any fanfic I've written, and comment to this post with that selection. I will then give you a DVD commentary on that snippet: what I was thinking when I wrote it, why I wrote it in the first place, what's going on in the character's heads, why I chose certain words, what this moment means in the context of the rest of the fic, lots of awful puns, and anything else that you'd expect to find on a DVD commentary track.

Okay, maybe not awful puns... I'm not very good at those. But the rest - yeah, ad nauseam. *g* My favorite part of a DVD commentary is always the stories about bloopers and behind-the-scenes bits, so I'll throw some of those in (if applicable) too.
