curuchamionSo I have this sister who... when she decides to do something, she does it. No matter what the obstacles may be. We call her "Rosie the Dozer", as in bulldozer, when she gets that way.
This time - well, you guys will NOT believe what she just gave me for a late (but so totally worth it) birthday present.
Yes, it's a TARDIS! It's about 11" high and made entirely of Kleenex boxes and glue (with a little paint, aluminum foil, printer paper, Scotch tape and parts of a Ziploc bag thrown in for detailing. And some thread - you'll see.)
The doors are a little warped, but who cares?
The door has a completely accurate police box sign. And a keyhole that is actually a hole. And a key (about 1/4" long) made of aluminum foil, that fits into the hole and has T for Tardis scratched on it.
And the lantern on the top (made with Kleenex, Scotch tape, and a lot of glue) is accessible from the inside. If I can figure out the wiring, I could stick a mini Christmas light up there and have a TARDIS with an actual light-up lantern.
And the doors not only have plastic windows with cardboard mullions... they have realistic door-hinges made from aluminum foil. With hinge pins. That are actually what hold the doors on and make them open and shut.
But this is the best part. Even my sister can't put a dimensionally transcendental interior in a Kleenex box, so what does she do instead?
A "CLOSED FOR EXPANSION" sign!!!
