A blue penguin? That sounds perhaps a trifle limited in scope, but you never know.
I actually have the full-featured Photoshop -- a now rather old version (6), but still absurdly overpowered for basic screwing around. It's a bit like owning a high-performance racecar and just driving it to the store. It does have some good tools for dealing with lousy lighting levels, though, which really helps with the screen caps. I can also break out different parts of an image, rework the framing, and recombine them, as long as I don't get too ambitious.
Amazingly enough, RDA turns out to have such regular features that you can flip his face 180 degrees and he doesn't look strange. It should not be possible to get away with that!
