I just thought I'd randomly mention that (having discovered the 24/7 computer lab with super-fast wireless access on my campus, yay college) I am starting a Stargate SG-1 Watch-Through of EPIC. I'd do reaction posts, except the sum total of my original thoughts about COTG part 1 - i.e. the thoughts that aren't "oh Jack, oh Sam, oh Daniel, Hammond in a hat!" - are that Kawalsky is pretty darn cute (too bad they had to kill him off) and Teal'c looks silly in serpent guard armor. Probably everybody looks silly in serpent guard armor.

Oh, and Apophis really does look oddly like President Obama. I wasn't watching 'Gate during the election lead-up, so I missed out on most of the Apophis-vs-Janet politics-related hilarity on one of my forums then... (fora? flora? foraminifera? lol)

Also Apophis wears silver lame under his armor instead of the Jaffa's knitted longjohns. This can be interpreted to support my fanon that Jaffa knit their own armor-liner-whatever-those-are in their spare time.

(Yes, I am slightly cracked-out right now. All my homework is caught up, and there is ALL OF STARGATE SG-1 on Hulu. :DDDD Got algebra class in a bit, though. Hurrah, more homework! *g*)

Wahey for an SG1 re-watch!!!

Wait for The Enemy Within. We watched it a couple of weeks ago and I realised Teal'c has his Serpent symbol upside down half the time.. :)

LOL, I'll have to keep an eye out for that! I totally would not have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it. (I'm not entirely sure which way is right-side-up, frankly... *g*)

*needs Teal'c icon*

Stargate!! I stared my own informal Watch-Thru of SG-1 a few months ago, and was surprised to realize that I'd actually seen a lot more of the show over the years than I'd thought. That first season is really experimental, isn't it?

you know, I had the impression that the first season had a bunch of bad episodes, but looking at it now, no it didn't. I mean, sure, it had Emancipation and Hathor, but there weren't a lot of bad episodes other than these two! Most of them were quite decent and even good.

People don't give season 1 enough credit.

(Also, OMG young Sam and Daniel. My heart breaks at their naivety... ;) )

I kind of liked Emancipation. True, it was anvilicious and they had no idea where they were going yet, but I'm an Original Trek fan, so I'm used to that. (LOL) And the blue dress is gorgeous.

Haven't seen Hathor yet...

LOL, I wouldn't know. When I was making up my little masterlist to keep track of what I've seen (it'll be so fun to watch it gradually fill out), I was quite surprised at how little I've seen yet. There are a lot of eps I've only read in transcript, and you really don't get much but the storyline that way.
